FestivalMaker is a web based application specifically designed for film festival organizers. FestivalMaker collects and saves in a database the filmmakers' entry forms. Festival organizers have complete controll of the database via web browser. Submissions can be easily edited, searched, rated and sorted by a number of variables. Mass email messages and reminders can be easily sent to all or selected applicants. All you have to do is to watch the submissions!

what's inside?

The front end is used by the filmmakers to submit their projects to your festival. After submitting, filmmakers can check and update their applications online, drastically reducing the number of "did you receive my submission" and "did you select my film" calls and emails received by the festival.

The back end is for the festival-makers and is password protected for security. Every step of the submission handling process is automated. Log received submissions, enter film reviews, add festival notes, flag, reject or accept submissions and more. Submissions can be sort by any combination of parameters including by title, category, format, status, premiere etc. Festival organizers can search, edit, manually add or delete submissions records as well as automatically send e-mail messages to all or to selected groups of applicants.

The viewer gives limited access to the submission database to collaborators and affiliates such as the selection commetee members and the judges. technical requirements

FestivalMaker requires a server that supports Active Server Pages (ASP) 3.0, runs IIS 5.0 and above, and has installed the ASP Mail component. The recommended server configuration runs Windows 2000 Server and features support for MS Access databases. A write accesible "non web" folder for the database storage is highly recommended. The Back-End, FestivalMaker's browser-based administration console works with all browsers.
